On January 11th, Guizhou Zijin, a subsidiary of Zijin, its pressure pre-oxidation technological innovation project started operation. This project improves recovery by 30% and generates new economic value from 50 tonnes of gold ores which were considered inaccessible. Another 10 billion economic value will be generated through this project. It is the first time that this technology is used in China's gold industry and getting industrialization.
At the project evaluation conference, Mr. Qiu Dingfan, Mr. He Jilin and Mr. Qiu Guanzhou, academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, spoke highly of this project and believed great promotional value is embedded in pressure oxidization technology. They deemed that this technology hold great significance in environmental protection in domestic mining industry, and it drived technology upgrade in gold and other metals' industries, and also in equipment manufacturing industry.
Mr. Chen Jinghe, Chairman of Zijin, pointed out that innovation is the core competitiveness of the Company. The accomplishment of Guizhou Zijin's pressure pre-oxidization project means another vital breakthrough for refractory gold ores processing technology, and a great progress in Chinese gold industry.
This project successfully developed a whole set of technology and equipments of pressure pre-oxidation to treat refractory gold ores containing both high content of arsenic and carbon, which includes eliminating the effect of organic carbon technology and safe disposal of arsenic as scorodite technology. After the pressure pre-oxidation system put into operation, the annual production of gold will reach 2.5 tonnes, realizing 670 million RMB output value.
