The company Serbia Zijin Mining organized a Community Open Day for members of the local community. On that occasion, the Čukaru Peki mine was visited by residents of the local communities of Brestovac, Slatina and Metovnica.

After a short presentation of the company and mandatory safety training, the inhabitants of these Bor villages first had the opportunity to see the new administrative building and the sports hall, as well as the entrance to the upper zone mine, the Mineral processing plant, the Backfilling station and tailings pond. The company took this event as an opportunity to fully demonstrate a modern mine which applies the best practices in not only mining, but also safety management and environment protection, and build the image of a long-term successful highly-mechanized mining business with sustainable growth and development.

The community representatives were amazed by the advanced technical equipment and harmonious ecological environment of Serbia Zijin Mining. "This is another good gesture from the company Serbia Zijin Mining. Everything they do, they do with an open heart and together with us. The visit to the Čukaru Peki mine strengthened even more trust between Serbia Zijin Mining and residents of villages, and we are grateful to the help and support offered by Zijin."

In an interview with local media, representative of Serbia Zijin Mining said:"this event is not only for the villagers to better understand the Cukaru-Peki copper-gold mine project, but also to show gratitude to the residents for their support to the company. with the development of our company, the community also develops, so we can say with certainty that we will continue to work dedicatedly in the future to strengthen the support and progress of all fields of society."
